Abused Missions?
Not sure if this should go here or in off-topic, but was just wondering what people's favorite/least favorite missions are and for what reason.
My favorite would be Dragon's Lair, probably because of the variety within one mission, and because I love beating on glint
(starting to wonder if we're gonna see her in the future, she must have a bigger purpose to the story)

Does she say anything before she attacks? I did this mission and I thought the point of the mission was to talk to Glint. Yet when we got there I went up to talk to her and she started busting some ass. Next thing I knew, everyone was dead and my poor E/me was completely energy-exhausted. I ran back and forth dodging fireballs but in the end I couldn't do anything useful and died.
I left that mission thinking WTF was that mission all about? Did I miss part of the story or something??

Killing Glint is the bonus for that mission.

actually, you can do it without having to fight her,
if you just go through the portal after cut scene, don't have to fight, however, if someone goes and grabs one of those dragon eggs, she gets pissed and womps on your ass

Even if you die against her, you still get credit for beating the mission.
My favorite mission would be Dragon's Lair. My least favorite would be the infusion mission, since everyone just runs through it, skipping content. If they made it a bit shorter, but more difficult to run (say, put mesmers with Imagined Burden in it), then it would be a better mission.

Personally, I hate the Surmia Ruins mission. Not only do I get atleast 3 disconnects before finishing anything in it (always with that mission), I have to go through it 2-3 times: once for the Mission itself, once because my party members don't understand what "Don't kill the EMBER BEARERS!" means, and once for the Cities of Ascalon (although...now I know to do that earlier).
Of course, I haven't done any of the later missions yet .

Any Mursaat mission because doing those with henchies is a royal pain. And 90% of the time on non-mursaat missions my henchie team>pug cause henchies actually focus fire, the secret to beating pve.

I HATE The Wilds... Seriously, I have nothing but loathing for that mission. It's one of the few missions that I can't beat with henchies, mostly because of the "Yar!" attitude of my tanks, drawing 5 other centaur patrols to us, or because of the absolute HORDE of mesmer critters in it.
Most favorite, hmmm, quite a few, I do like most of the missions.
(Although ascension ones are a PAIN without decent party members.

divinity coast has got to be a bad mission for the bonus because most PUGS dont understand when you keep yelling at them to save the villagers and forget the merchants.

Thunderhead Keep must die.
Fav missions are the ones in Magumma, especially Sanctum Cay. They all seem a little challenging but i can still do them in one try.
Most hated mission in any game, ever, is Thunderhead Keep. It's not that hard if you get good people but bad players amass there because they can't get through and you get in groups with them and then half of them leave. Grrrrr I hates that quest. It took me 10 tries. Also, I wouldn't mind it if there wasn't 20mins of easy mundanity before the hard part. It was like playing megaman all over again, dying at the boss and having to resart the whole level over and over.

I hate Thirsty River with a bruning passion. The PUGs I've had are stupider than the dumbest A.I. in the game. I got father with henchman than them. I still haven't beat it with the character I'm on now... it's a pain in the butt.

What level are you? This mission seemed relatively easy to me at Level 17. Did it with all henchmen. The bonus is another story.

Are you running a e/n? The whole mission seems rather hack and slash to me. The only part that's rough to me is the poison pit area. My advice for that area is to try and pull the dragons close to land so you don't have to stand in the poison. I'm assuming you're doing this with henchies. If you are, you should run towards, not attack the last bone dragon and run past him, to make sure you henchies get on land and out of the poison.
You might just need to pack some self-preservation skills if you find yourself dying more like some blood magic, eat corpse spells or aura of restoration (if you don't already use it)
If you list a specific problem I'll answer that, although, I've never gotten an elementalist that far in the game before.
BTW, great name.

Henchies are too low a level for that mission. If you jump into bloodstone fen with the henchies straight after (at level 15) the difference is staggering. Alesia's heals seem to double in strength.
I've had a bug up my butt with sanctum cay but I cakewalked it with henchies for the first time last night. Thing is, it seems if you don't step on the pier or go after the mantle, none of them seem to come after you. You just sit there for 5 mins.
I hated elona with henchies/most PUGs too. The PUGs all want to go after the bosses and waste time capping their first elite and the henchies lack power. Figured this out with my necro though. Order of the vampire is very cool. It will double Stefan and Thom's damage. (well at 16 blood it will)
I actually liked thunderhead with my monk. It was insane, I never stopped casting. Saved the king a few times. (prot spirit>spectral agony)
Wouldn't want to do it again though. I had to stop and relax for a while after that one.... (beer)
Also try fort ranik without the trebuchets. That's a laugh.

i completely HATE thunderhead keep!!!
i have given up using PUG because no one is good in those lobbies.
i am forced to do it with henchies! i have to get bored until i reach the siege, then i get my ass kicked most of the time.
(ive never beaten it with a PUG, or a guild group, but i beat it twice with henchies.)
